DRIED HERB PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • All herbs are packaged in food-safe, eco-friendly sustainable, resealable bags or glass jars

  • Our herbs are hand harvested and dried naturally.

  • Herbs are carefully hand processed to remove stems, though some may still be present.

  • ​Culinary lavender and dried herbs can also last for years if stored properly in a sealed, waterproof container, kept out of direct sunlight to preserve its freshness and color.

  • All dried herbs are sold by weight.

  • These herbs offer many potential uses including culinary, aroma therapy, health & beauty.

English Lavender Buds (Lavandula angustifolia)

Dried English Lavender is sweeping the culinary world.  A little goes a long way!  Great addition to both sweet treats and savory dishes from cookies, cakes, ice cream to meats (combine with or replace rosemary) as well as breads.  Pairs great with anything chocolate, fruits and in specialty drinks: teas, coffees and lemonades.  Lavender has long been held to promote wellness with its calming effect, sleep aid, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.   Our certified organic culinary lavender comes in .5 oz glass spice jars with bamboo sealed lids or 1 oz. food-safe eco-friendly packaging.

Dried Peppermint (Mentha piperita)

Certified organic, naturally dried peppermint leaves.  A favorite for its minty aroma and flavor.  Dried peppermint leaf is one of the most popular herbs because it blends so well with most other herbs and offers a wide range of uses from culinary to medicinal to health and beauty products.

Dried Spearmint (mentha spicata)

Spearmint leaf is a popular multi-use herb due to its a minty aroma and slightly sweet flavor.   A very versatile herb, Spearmint offers many uses from culinary, medicinal to health and beauty products.

Dried Greek Oregano (Origanum vulgare)

Greek oregano, also known as Mediterranean oregano, is the classic “pizza herb” & is indispensable seasoning in Italian, Mexican and Mediterranean cooking.   A robust and aromatic, earthy with a pungent overtone seasoning, it is used vegetables, pasta and tomato dishes, and delicious in sauces, dressings, and casseroles. Oregano combines well with other spices, particularly garlic and basil.

English Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)

Thyme has a well established reputation for providing healing and protection.  Dried leaf adds a woody, slightly peppery flavor with a lemony finish to marinades, dressings, vegetables, meats and tea blends. Thyme is as versatile in its use in cosmetics and wellness, as recent research has shown thyme to have antiseptic properties.​

Broadleaf Sage (Salvia officinalis)

Rubbed sage can be used in cooking and herbal medicine.  

​Beyond its use as a seasoning, sage leaf was historically utilized in traditional European herbalism for its healthful properties in teas, tinctures and other value added products. Sage leaves can be infused as tea, macerated as an extract, and used as a culinary spice to flavor meats, poultry, stuff, vegetables, pastas and squash.

French Tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus)

A must-have for the distinguished kitchen,  French Tarragon heightens the flavor of other herbs and add a distinctive touch to sauces, salads, dressings, eggs and fish dishes. Tarragon also complements mushrooms, tomatoes and poultry.  French Tarragon is believed to help reduce the symptoms of indigestion and pain because it contains natural anesthesia properties and may act as a mild sedative and help to promote sleep.

Calendula  (Calendula officinalis)

One of the most versatile herbs to work with, these bright orange petals provide vibrant color and textural interest to tea blends, salads and soups, while the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds in the flowers lend their properties to various skin care preparations.
